Our story
About us
We are the Schimenes family, passionate travelers who have explored over 60 countries and still counting. For years, we've envisioned a space that would allow us to delve into the inspirations drawn from our global adventures. When we discovered this location on December 2025, we realized we had found our ideal canvas. We sought a retreat that was convenient yet felt remote, surrounded by nature while offering all the urban comforts, teeming with wildlife, vibrant yet tranquil.
Ik & Lo is where the essence of Manhattan converges with the charm of the countryside. "Ik" means "I" in Dutch, and "Lo" invites attention, making Ik & Lo a sanctuary for our guests to reconnect—with one another, with nature, and with the Creator.

Ik & Lo Resort is a boutique farm resort on 30 acres in Cresco, PA, in the Pocono Mountains. Our 10 houses have 23 bedrooms and sleep up to 60, so one family or a whole group can stay together.

Who is it for?
Families, family gatherings, weddings and corporate retreats. It is adored by little ones and loved by guests of every age, from toddlers to grandparents.
Do you host weddings?
Weddings start from $17k on weekdays and from $25k on weekends, with about 200 guests for dinner and lodging for up to 60. Peak wedding season is May, June, September and October, with some November dates. July and August weddings are also possible at summer rates.
