We are the Schimenes family, passionate travelers who have explored over 60 countries and still counting. For years, we've envisioned a space that would allow us to delve into the inspirations drawn from our global adventures. When we discovered this location on December 2025, we realized we had found our ideal canvas. We sought a retreat that was convenient yet felt remote, surrounded by nature while offering all the urban comforts, teeming with wildlife, vibrant yet tranquil.

Ik & Lo is where the essence of Manhattan converges with the charm of the countryside. "Ik" means "I" in Dutch, and "Lo" invites attention, making Ik & Lo a sanctuary for our guests to reconnect—with one another, with nature, and with the Creator.
